What time does the York restaurant open/close?
Patisserie opens from 9am every day.

Do you serve breakfast at the York restaurant?
No, but we serve coffee and pastries from 9am every morning.
Is the restaurant wheelchair friendly?
Our York restaurant has limited accessibility, so please notify us in advance so we can accommodate you. We do have an accessible section with and accessible bathroom but capacity in this area is limited.
Where is your York restaurant located?
Swinegate, a five minute walk from the famous York Minster.
Do you offer outdoor dining?
Yes we offer outdoor dining at our York restaurant with covered heated terraces that are open all year round. Please request an outdoor table when booking as it’s very popular and we will accommodate as best as possible.
How can I make a reservation at Lucia?
Please make a reservation online. We do not accept bookings via telephone at our York restaurant.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes, we accept walk ins. We only hold limited space for walk ins so booking is advised in advance, especially during busy periods such as evenings and weekends.
Do you allow pets?
Our York restaurant allows pets on its outdoor terrace section.
Do you allow children?
Yes, children are welcome in the restaurant when accompanied by an adult until 6pm – the last booking for parties with children under 10s is at 4:45pm.
What type of cuisine do you offer?
Modern Italian contemporary dishes.
Do you have vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?
Yes, we have lots of vegetarian menus as well as a dedicated vegan menu and a dedicated gluten free menu.
Can I see your menus online?
Yes all of our menus are available to view online.
Is there a dress code?
At Lucia we operate a smart casual dress code. Smart trainers and jeans are welcome, but flip flops, sliders, track suit bottoms, joggers, workwear and sportswear are not permitted.
What kind of drinks do you serve?
We serve a range of drinks from cocktails and Italian spritz to fine wines, beers, coffees, teas, fresh juices, softs and more.
Do you have a happy hour?
We have an aperitivo happy house every day between 3-5pm where you are served complimentary bruschetta with every Italian spritz cocktail you order.
Do you host cocktail-making classes or tastings?
In York we do, for a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 8 per group. Before 5pm on a Saturday. £35pp. You have your own personal bartender, choose two cocktails (signature / classics or one from each) of your choice for the class to be incorporated around. You are taught the basics of cocktail making before being put the test. We do require a dinner or lunch reservation alongside your masterclass.
Do you host private events or parties?
Yes, we can cater to a range of private events and parties from seated dining to canapé and drinks receptions. Our York restaurant has dedicated private areas that are well suited to a large range of events.
Can I book the entire restaurant or bar for a private event?
Yes you can, please enquire for more information.
When is Bottomless Brunch available?
Bottomless Brunch is available all day except on Saturdays when it will only be available from 12 PM to 5 PM.
Note: We will honour all existing bookings. For new reservations, please note that the latest time you can book is 5 PM.
What are your festive opening hours?
During the festive season Lucia York will be open from 12pm-12am daily, excluding Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The patisserie will open from 9am as usual.
